I'm a first-generation Computer Science student at Temple University building dependable full-stack and platform software. My recent work spans containerized microservices for an ML platform, HCI research on AI adoption, and practical tools built with Python, TypeScript, and Go.

Hey! I'm Edgardo, and I've always been drawn to understanding how systems work behind the scenes. I started coding during my first year at Temple and quickly became interested in combining software engineering, thoughtful design, and automation to solve practical problems.
Lately, I've been containerizing and testing microservices with Docker and Kubernetes for an ML platform while contributing to Python backend services and TypeScript interfaces. Outside of work, I'm researching how first-generation students adopt AI tools and building projects such as a Flask flashcard platform, a secure password manager in Go, and LoLdle.

02. Where I've Worked
Software Engineer Intern @ NextGen Federal Systems
May 2026 — Present
- Containerize and test microservices with Docker and local Kubernetes clusters, simulating production environments for an ML platform.
- Automate local test environments with Makefiles that build and push updated images to a local container registry.
- Contribute to full-stack functionality with Python backend services and TypeScript frontend interfaces.
- Participate in Agile workflows using Jira and GitLab while aligning with the technical lead during regular stand-ups.

Password Manager CLI
A local command-line credential vault built in Go with Cobra and SQLite, featuring Argon2 master-password hashing and flags for complete CRUD workflows.
